COSMOCIL™ products are broad spectrum antimicrobial agents used for the preservation of personal care products against spoilage. It is based on the active agent polyhexamethylene biguanide hydrochloride (PHMB). COSMOCIL CQ is listed in the CFTA International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients as Polyaminopropyl biguanide.
