We at Arch are involved with seven Community Advisory Panels (CAPs) in our major chemical manufacturing plant communities. In some cases, Arch Chemicals is the sole sponsor of the panels; in others, we team up with other companies in our communities to create joint Community Advisory Panels. Typically, the panels’ members include plant neighbors, local political and civic leaders, environmentalists, educators and other interested citizens.
We meet regularly with these panels to discuss their interests and concerns, including Arch’s role in providing jobs in the region; our environment, health, safety and security initiatives at our plants and in the surrounding communities; and Arch charitable and educational support initiatives. The panels serve as a vital conduit to and from our communities, helping create an ongoing dialogue that enables Arch to respond to community interests and concerns and provides a vital source of information about Arch to our communities.
