Charitable Contributions
Arch is committed to long-term growth and prosperity for all who are connected with us. In the communities where we operate, we strive to be responsible neighbors and to contribute to social and economic prosperity.
We invest in our local communities by identifying strategic partnerships and projects in the areas of environment, education, technology and public safety and we meet regularly with our Community Advisory Panels to exchange information.
We also encourage our employees to pursue voluntary personal activities, but we ask that you pursue these activities on your own time and with your own resources. In addition, you must not claim to represent Arch in any of your endeavors unless specifically requested to do so by Arch management.
Political Activities
We encourage employees, officers and directors to participate in the local, national and international political process. As a private citizen you may make contributions to the candidates or political parties of your choice. However, these contributions may not be reimbursed directly or indirectly by Arch, even if they are made in the Company's name.
Arch will not make any contributions to political parties, candidates or public officials, except as permitted by Federal, state or local laws. Arch has a Political Action Committee (PAC) to which U.S.-based employees may contribute. The PAC can legally make campaign contributions to political candidates and organizations but all employee contributions to the PAC are completely voluntary.
Corporate Disclosures
We are committed to providing full, fair, accurate, timely and credible information consistent with legal and regulatory requirements. At Arch, this means that certain Arch employees are authorized to release information about the Company as part of their regular duties and subject to Company policies and procedures. All other Arch employees, including any agents, consultants or other third parties working on our behalf, are not authorized and must not release information concerning Arch or our business activities or respond to inquiries from the investment community or the media, unless specifically asked to do so by an authorized spokesperson.
