Michael A. Cook is Senior Vice President, Worldwide HTH Water Products, of Arch Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE: ARJ), a global Biocides company with annual sales of over $1 billion. In this role, Mr. Cook has global responsibility for Arch’s HTH Water Products business, which is the world’s largest supplier of swimming pool and spa treatment chemicals. He previously served as Vice President and General Manager, Industrial Coatings, based in Pianoro, Italy since 2007. Mr. Cook had global responsibility for all aspects of the financial and operational performance of the Industrial Coatings business, as well as the development and implementation of strategies to strengthen this business, which was sold in March 2010. Prior to that asssigment, he was Director, Global HTH Water Products Marketing from 2003 to 2007.
Since joining Olin Corporation in 1978, Mr. Cook has held roles of increasing responsibility in a broad variety of functional areas, including marketing, e-business, supply chain management, technology, manufacturing and engineering. From 1997 to 2000, he was based in Singapore, where he managed Arch’s Asian Biocides business and led the Company’s expansion project in Suzhou, China.
Mr. Cook holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Cornell University in New York and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Louisville in Kentucky.
Mr. Cook is located at Arch Chemicals’ office in Atlanta, Georgia.
