Joseph H. Shaulson |
Joseph Shaulson is Executive Vice President of Arch Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE: ARJ), a global Biocides company with annual sales of over $1 billion. In this role, Mr. Shaulson is responsible for the global operations of the Personal Care and Industrial Biocides and Performance Products businesses. He previously served as Senior Vice President, Wood Protection and Personal Care Ingredients. Mr. Shaulson joined Arch in 2008 as Vice President, Strategic Development, playing a key role in Arch‘s quest for complementary biocides business acquisitions and in further sharpening the Company’s focus on its biocides portfolio. He also led the team that divested the non-biocides Industrial Coatings business on March 31, 2010 to The Sherwin-Williams Company.
Before joining Arch, Mr. Shaulson served as President of Hexcel Corporation’s Reinforcements Business Unit. This $400 million, multinational operating division produced woven fabrics and specialty reinforcements for aerospace, industrial composites and other high-performance applications. In addition, he served on Hexcel’s corporate leadership team, which focused on company-wide talent development, business and portfolio strategy, policy making and budgeting. Mr. Shaulson began his career at Hexcel as Vice President, Corporate Development, and served in a number of other corporate roles, including Chief Information Officer.
Prior to Hexcel, Mr. Shaulson was a corporate associate at the law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, where he represented clients in connection with acquisitions and divestitures, financing, securities and other corporate matters.
Mr. Shaulson received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
Mr. Shaulson is located at Arch Chemicals’ headquarters in Norwalk, Connecticut.
