Robert J. Stadalius is Senior Vice President, Operational Excellence, of Arch Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE: ARJ), a global biocides company with annual sales of over $1 billion. In this role, he has global responsibility for ensuring manufacturing excellence, supply chain and capital expenditure efficiency, product quality, productivity and strategic cost reductions. He also has management responsibility for Responsible Care and security. A veteran chemical production engineer and plant manager, Mr. Stadalius served as Vice President, Manufacturing and Supply Chain, before the promotion to his current role.
Mr. Stadalius joined Olin Corporation in 1979 as a Chemical Engineer at its chlor-alkali manufacturing plant in Niagara Falls, New York. In 1980, he was promoted to Production Engineer, and in 1987 he was appointed Production Superintendent at Niagara Falls.
Mr. Stadalius transferred to the Rochester plant in 1989, where he held the position of Maintenance and Engineering Manager. He was promoted to Operations Team Manager in 1997 and to Plant Manager in 1998. Mr. Stadalius transferred to Arch Chemicals’ headquarters in Norwalk, Connecticut in 2001, where he held the position of Director of Manufacturing and, in 2005, was promoted to Vice President of Manufacturing and Supply Chain for Arch Chemicals.
Mr. Stadalius received his Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering at the University of Connecticut, and later earned his Masters of Business Administration degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
Mr. Stadalius is located at Arch Chemicals’ office in Atlanta, Georgia.
