Luis Fernandez-Moreno |
Luis Fernandez-Moreno is Executive Vice President of Arch Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE: ARJ), a global Biocides company with annual sales of over $1 billion. In this role, he is responsible for the worldwide operations of the Company’s HTH Water Products and Wood Protection businesses.
Mr. Fernandez-Moreno joined Arch in September 2010 from The Dow Chemical Company, where he last served as Vice President of Dow Coatings Materials, a $3 billion global business unit that provides a wide range of coatings technologies and services. He assumed this role upon Dow's acquisition of Rohm and Haas in April 2009. Prior to that, he was the Business Group Vice President of the Rohm and Haas Paint and Coatings Materials division.
After joining Rohm and Haas in 1983, Mr. Fernandez-Moreno held positions of increasing responsibility in operations, marketing and business management in Brazil, France, Mexico, the United Kingdom and the United States. In 2002, he was elected to Vice President and was named Regional Director for Latin America. In 2004, he returned to the United States as Business Director for Plastics Additives. He assumed the role of Business Group Vice President in April 2005.
Mr. Fernandez-Moreno received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, Mexico and graduated from the Wharton Management Program at the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Fernandez-Moreno is located at Arch Chemicals’ headquarters in Norwalk, Connecticut.
