Career FAQ

Provided below are answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about careers at Arch Chemicals and the interview process.

How long will it take for someone to contact me?
If there is interest in your resume you will hear from the local human resources representative.

What can I expect - a phone screen or in-person interview?
The first point of contact will be a phone screen.  Then, if it makes sense to do so, an in–person interview will be arranged.

Will it be a group or panel interview?
Typically, Arch Chemicals uses one—on—one personal interviews with applicants.  There are occasions, however, where group or panel interviews occur for efficiency.  We make every effort to have candidates see as many people as possible in one day.  A half day of interviewing is common.

If I do not live locally, what travel expenses will be covered?
Arch Chemicals will reimburse or pay for reasonable travel expenses incurred to get to the Arch location including airfare, hotel, ground transportation, meals and parking subject to our travel policy.

How long will it take until I hear back from Arch?
Depending on how many candidates the hiring team will see, it could take one to three weeks to hear back with a decision.

What happens if I am selected to work at Arch?
A member of the Arch Human Resources team will contact you to discuss required paperwork. We will contact your references and will order a background check.  All potential hires must go through a pre-employment physical in order to work at Arch, which will include drug testing.  All job offers are contingent upon favorable results.  A start date will be established, and the on-boarding process will then begin.
