Our Philosophy of Responsible Citizenship

As a global Biocides company, we at Arch Chemicals believe that we are responsible to our many stakeholders to act with the utmost integrity in all that we do and to operate in a safe, secure and environmentally sound manner.  We also believe strongly that we should contribute to the quality of life in the communities in which we operate and operate in a way that creates sustainable value.

Under our Responsible Care®, Goal is Zero and Product Stewardship initiatives, you will find detailed insights

into everything from our workplace safety record and emissions of reportable chemicals to our greenhouse gas intensity and the efforts we make to assure that our employees, distributors and customers can safely handle, use, recycle and dispose of our products.

Arch Chemicals Global Responsible Care®  Commitment
With focus on the Goal of Zero, Arch recognizes its public commitment to Responsible Care.  Arch employees are committed to the creation of sustainable value, protection of the environment, and the health & safety of our employees and other stakeholders through the following key principles:

• COMPLIANCE with applicable legal, regulatory, and Responsible Care related requirements
• CONSERVATION of energy and natural resources through sustainability initiatives along the
   entire value chain
• CONTINUAL IMPROVEMENT of environment, health, safety, and security performance
• COMMUNICATIONS and open dialogue with our internal and external stakeholders

Under the Corporate Governance umbrella, you will find our Code of Business Conduct and the related ethical principles that govern the make-up and conduct of our Board of Directors and other Arch employees.

Under our Community Outreach and Charitable Contributions sectors, we explain the actions that we’re taking to improve the quality of life in the communities and nations in which we operate.  For example, we focus much of our charitable giving on promoting programs and events that improve the quality of math, science and environmental education in our communities’ schools.  We also draw on our water-treatment expertise to help provide clean drinking water to needy people in undeveloped regions and those suffering from natural and manmade disasters and crises.
