Shock 'N Swim HTH® Shock'n Swim is a blended chlorinating agent containing 47% available chlorine. It is primarily used as a shock treatment to kill bacteria and control algae. This product is buffered to reduce changes in pH. Application • Add while filter pump is running. • Broadcast the product evenly over a wide area in the deepest part of the pool. • Add 1lb (16 oz) of this product per 10,000 gallons of water weekly or as needed to help prevent pool problems. Useful Tips • Always ensure that pH is between 7.2 and 7.6 before shock treatment. • Test chlorine levels twice weekly using an HTH® Test Kit or Test Strips.
Super Shock 'N Swim This shock is a formulated blend designed for all pool surfaces. It works equally well with vinyl and concrete pool surfaces. This powerful shock treatment has 52% available chlorine and is effective in killing germs, bacteria and algae. HTH® Super Shock 'N Swim leaves pool water sparkling blue and crystal clear. Application • Add while filter pump is running. • Broadcast the product evenly over a wide area in the deepest part of the pool. • Add 1lb (16 oz) of this product per 12,000 gallons of water weekly or as needed to help prevent pool problems. Useful Tips • Always ensure that pH is between 7.2 and 7.6 before shock treatment. • Test chlorine levels regularly. • Shock after heavy use of pool and after rain, as rain can introduce organic contaminants.
