Rust on the fixtures of your spa, such as your heater, can cause damage that can result in costly repairs. If you notice rust in your spa, it is possible that your pH level is low.
Solution
- Use HTH Spa™ pH Increaser to raise pH and maintain pH in the range of 7.2 - 7.6 (chlorine sanitizers) or 7.2 - 7.8 (bromine sanitizers).
- Low total alkalinity: Raise total alkalinity in the range of 60 - 120 ppm with HTH Alkalinity Plus.
