Formulation
AntiBlu® XP is shipped as a liquid concentrate. Active ingredients are propiconazole and 3-iodo-2-propynyl butylcarbamate (IPBC), and benzalkonium chloride (BAC).
IPBC prevents fungal growth in paints, adhesives, crayons, inks, cutting oils, and forest products. (Arch Chemicals produces this biocide.) Propiconazole is commonly used for treatment of cereals, corn, coffee, peanuts, rice, turf, and wood.
Application
AntiBlu XP may be applied to wood and wood products by immersion or spray methods according to the dilutions provided below. Dilution levels may vary widely and will depend on application methods, wood species, seasonal changes in exposure conditions, length of protection desired, and wood storage and transport conditions.
| • For spray application: Mix one gallon of AntiBlu XP to 15-50 gallons of water. |

| • For immersion applications: Mix one gallon of AntiBlu XP to 50-300 gallons of water. |
Storage & Disposal
Storage — Store in a well-ventilated area. Temperatures exceeding 40° C. / 104° F. will cause decomposition of IPBC. Protect from freezing. Store in its original container in a locked area out of reach of children. Optimum temperature for use: approximately 70° F. Keep container closed and labeled.
Pesticide Disposal — Disposal requirements vary by locale. Check state and local regulations to determine disposal requirements.
Container Disposal — Do not reuse empty container. Triple rinse container; use rinse in process. Prior to disposal, contact your local waste handler to determine disposal requirements.
Safety Recommendations
Wear protective clothing. Wash hands thoroughly before eating, drinking, using tobacco products, and/or using restrooms. Before welding or cutting, thoroughly clean any piping or containers. Please read the Material Safety Data Sheet for more information.
